| Abstract | Continuing the work on maintenance of the existing NMS-es OPERA database. Internet page with all relevant informations about radars used in OPERA: geographical position, radar related technical data, contact data Task is connected with the collaboration with NMS-s and the need to present the actual radar network.
In the radar database there is little change due the nature of the data - connected is to the building and changing radar observation places and hardware equipment. Assumptions and dependencies Maintaining the existing radar database and the web pages providing access to the information stored in the database. Arranging regular updates to the contents of the database. Providing aces to informations stored in database. The presentation of data using web based geographical tools (Google earth) and in house developed products. The status of the national radar networks -- radar specifications, locations and products is to be maintained regulary based on the data delivered from NMS-s. Link to Eumetnet external website for public visibility and information distribution to stakeholders' map of radars. Work plan Setting up database changes: - On demand changing the data, regulary twice in Q1, Q3, collect and update the data in data base. The status of the national networks, radar specifications, locations and and other radar related data to be maintained regularly based on the data delivered from NMS-s. - Adding new countries and radars to the database. Deliverables Web site presenting the radar database, map of radars, linked to Eumetnet external website for public visibility and information distribution to stakeholders The presentation of data using web based geographical tools ( Google earth) and in house developed products. Web presentation: a) in house developed graphical interface with query capability to select data from the database b) Google earth applied technology to present the radar location and range, and other radar and site attribute data from the database. |
