Air temperature anomalies for Croatia in June 2018

The analysis of air temperature anomalies for June 2018 reveals that the average monthly air temperature at all analized stations exceeded the multi-annual average (1961 - 1990). Corresponding air temperature anomalies were within the 1,1 °C - 3,1 °C range.

Absolute maximum air temperature for June 2018 mainly exceeded the corresponding average (1961 - 1990). Corresponding air temperature anomalies were within the range from -0,8 °C to 3,2 °C. A comparison with the avaiable data series of analized stations reveals that in June 2018 there were no maximum temperatures which exceeded absolute maximum on record (Table 1).

According to percentile ranks and classification ratings, thermal conditions in Croatia for June 2018 have been described by the following categories: extremely warm (part of Central Croatia, part of the Northern and Middle Adriatic as well as the Southern Adriatic), warm (part of Eastern Croatia and the wider area of the town of Knin) and very warm (the rest of Croatia).

Precipitation amounts for Croatia in June 2018

An analysis of the precipitation amounts for June 2018 expressed as percentages (%) of 1961 - 1990 average, shows that these precipitation amounts were mainly above the average with the exception of Ogulin and Split-Marjan where precipitation amounts were on par with the multi-annual average. A comparison with the multi-annual average reveals that corresponding precipitation amounts for June 2018 were within the range of 64 % - 224 % of the above mentioned average for this month.

According to percentile ranks and classification ratings, the precipitation amounts for June 2018 dominantly fall under the normal category with the exception of Zagreb-GriÄŤ which falls under the dry category. On the other hand, meteorological station Zagreb-Maksimir located in the suburban area of the city of Zagreb has 128% of multi-annual average for June (127.8 mm) and falls under the wet category (not shown). Eastern Croatia, the wider areas of the towns of Karlovac and Pazin as well as the part of the Southern Adriatic are also in the wet category. The wider area of the town of Ĺ ibenik is in the very wet category.
